If nature can take us down in a month and have us all forget all our daily stresses and tensions of work ,money , savings , growth, success and bring us all to an existential question, isn’t there anyone out there rethinking the purpose of it all.
Did anyone think that from the moment we step foot here we are on a bonus lifeline to be taken away any day anytime , yet we use the entire timeline accumulating what will never go with us , what gives us but temporary false security and comfort.
No don’t give up on me thinking here goes another one of the spiritual idiots talking idealistically , while you ‘Know’ how life is meant to be lived and that the only way to live is the way we have all been taught from the childhood - study , earn , procreate, die
As they all say we all have but ‘one life’ and its meant to be lived to the fullest. Is it? Who taught us this? – an infant western civilisation which was aggressive enough to move the world towards its doom - whiskey, drugs, money and sex all in an overkill to “live life to the fullest”.
Pause and think did our culture teach us this? Have we given in to the ignorant youth while ignoring the wisdom of the old.
If you have ever had a thought that the world has gone down the wrong path somewhere making ‘us’ more important than the planet , over utlisizing the resources made available to us then this is the time to take a pause & rethink.
A world where a Ronaldo, scoring goals for fun becomes rich & famous & successful and while this successful person flies of to his private island living his dream to escape the virus its a nurse wearing a mask whose only goal is to treat a patient knowing fully that she is likely to get the disease, who is dispensable and unknown,. Yeah the world needs a doctor!
Capitalism and Commercialization introduced by an infant civilization are taking us away from the philosophy & teachings of our ancient civilization – mediation , yoga , life purpose.
Its time to go back to ‘we’ above ‘me’ , ‘need’ above ‘greed’ , ‘help’ above ‘exploitation’ , ‘collective’ above ‘individual’ , ‘purpose’ above ‘success’ , ‘soul’ above ‘mind’ .
Lets wake up now and rethink our direction as a species. Do it now or else the Planet will , this time or the next , make sure we do.
